How Long it Takes
Most brokers are set up within 1–2 business days once we have:
- A complete Turris profile
- A signed producer agreement
- Complete broker and office details
Common causes of delay:
- Missing documents in Turris
- Missing or incomplete broker or office details
- Requested changes to the producer agreement, which require legal review
Surplus Lines Filings
K2 Cyber policies are written on a surplus lines (E&S) basis. A licensed surplus lines broker must report each policy to the insured’s home state and pay that state’s surplus lines taxes and fees. Your producer agreement sets out who handles this.
- K2 files: We handle state filings and tax payments for the policies you place with us.
- Your agency files: Your agency handles filings and tax payments. We’ll ask for the name and email of your DRLP, the person accountable for your agency’s filings.
Not sure which fits your agency? Tell us and we’ll talk it through.
